Crane collapse takes two

A crane, believed to be a tower crane, collapsed at a site in Bangkok Thailand earlier today killing two men, believed to be Cambodian nationals, who worked for the main contractor.

The crane was apparently working on the fifth floor of a 36 floor, apartment block in Soi Phetkasem, opposite Siam University in the Phasicharoen district of the city.

The crane was being used to lift sandbags weighing around 1,000kg, for use in the area around a swimming pool on one of the upper floors.
