Fatal crane collapse in China

Four people have died and another is seriously injured after a tower crane collapsed while being dismantled this morning at a construction site in the village of Shuangli, Yuanan county in central China.

The crane said to have been around 28 to 30 metres high had been working on a seven storey building. Three of the men were killed outright, while the fourth died in hospital a few hours later.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway.
