Genie launches 180ft SX180

Genie has officially confirmed that its new boom lift will have a180ft platform height and called the SX-180.

The new model will be formally launched at Bauma later today, the unit which includes a new rotating jib which offers between 160 and 170 degrees of slew, will have up to 24 metres of outreach.

While we cannot tell you if the new Genie SX boom is a 170 or a 185 until tomorrow, it does have an interesting new jib design

The SX180 also has an unusual telescope system with a second section that features an external telescope cylinder that is only used for platform heights over 150ft.
Platform capacity if 340kg and is unrestricted, with drive possible at full height.
