TCA steps up UK sales & service

TCA Lift’s distributor for the UK, Urban Access is preparing to launch a rental purchase programme for specific TCA spider lifts and has appointed a new service partner – ARC Service.

Urban will launch the programme with a new 32 metre Falcon FS320Z that it has ordered, complete with new operating technology. The lift will be delivered after it has appeared on the TCA stand at Bauma, and will be available to new and existing rental companies or end users that plan to buy. It will be available to rental companies on a rehire basis, with the option to convert the rental contract into a purchase. The main aim being to allow potential buyers to try the lift in a real working environment and to ‘test the market’.

Brian Falck Schmidt of TCA lift (L) concludes the sale of a new FSZ320 to Neil Wilkinson of Urban Access

Neil Wilkinson of Urban access said: “Our recent visit to the TCA plant in Odense gave us a chance to meet the new owners as well as place the order for our new FS320Z ‘Rent to Buy’ machine, showing continuing commitment to our partnership with TCA Lift. As a result of an increasing level of sales and rental opportunities over the last six to 12 months, Urban will be offering the FS320Z to all established and new rental customers on special ‘Rent to Rent’ agreements, with the aim to further develop the UK market for high quality, high return, tracked articulating and telescopic Spiderlifts.”

“The new FS320Z fitted with new patent pending features will be exhibited on the TCA Lift stand at this year’s Bauma exhibition and will be shipped directly to our main facility in Dorset straight after the exhibition finishes.”

During the visit Urban Access and TCA Lift also agreed the appointment of Nottingham based ARC Service as a factory approved service and product support partner. ARC will be responsible for providing warranty, service and replacement parts supply throughout the UK for all TCA and Falck Schmidt products, regardless of age.

ARC managing director Brian Pitt recently visited the TCA facility along with senior engineer, Ivan de Godo Borras, for an initial introduction to the products, and spent two days on initial product familiarisation training on both the latest Falcons and older Falck Schmidt products. The visit will be followed up with further training and familiarisation visits during the year.

Wilkinson said: “We have been looking to work closely with a dedicated service and support company for some time. Our relationship with ARC Service with our generic powered access platform requirements over the years has gone from strength to strength and it made perfect sense to contract our Spider lift work to Brian and his team. Their commitment to quality, passion for constant improvement and technical expertise extended to us by Brian and his team will be in no doubt a huge benefit to all our rental and end-user customers alike.”
