Sennebogen to launch first in series

German crane and material handling manufacturer Sennebogen will unveil a new 70 tonne heavy duty telescopic crawler crane at Bauma – the 673 R-HD - the first model of a new E-series.

The 673 R-HD features a four section 36 metre main boom and an eight to 15 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which can offset by up to 40 degrees. The heavy duty boom is designed to handle side loadings and rugged use and is not just a simple lift crane.

Compiling with the Tier 3b/4i emission standards it is powered by a 160kW Deutz engine with a particulate filter and exhaust after treatment system. Additional features include peripheral cameras and a 2.7 metre hydraulically elevated cabin which can tilt up to 30 degrees.

The company said: “The 673 R-HD can be transported quickly and easily ready for use as soon as it arrives at the construction site. Transport is eased thanks to the telescoping tracks which retract to three metres, and the easily removed and installed track units.

The crane has been designed to work on slopes of up to four degrees and can also be equipped with a work platform with 1000kg capacity.”
