Ashtead lifts higher in Wisconsin,

Ashtead’s Sunbelt Rentals business has acquired the assets of Milwaukee High Lift and Madison High Lift, in a deal that was apparently closed at the start of February.

Both companies were owned by founder Mark Lancourt and members of the management team. They operated as separate entities covering the greater Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin areas.

Lancourt, who has been in the lift rental business for almost 30 years, worked with Midwest Aerial Platforms, before starting his own business. He has now joined Sunbelt as a district manager, to help the company expand further in the region. The reset of the management team have also transferred to Sunbelt.

Milwaukee High Lift was established in 2001, with Madison High Lift coming eight years later in 2009. The two businesses focused on aerial lift rental, the bulk of their fleets being self-propelled Booms and scissor lifts.
