Zoomlion to unveil tower crane

Chinese crane manufacturer Zoomlion will launch its new eight tonne 8-ZT180 topless tower crane at Bauma in April.

The 8-ZT180 has a maximum under hook height of 53 metres and can lift 1.8 tonnes at its maximum radius of 65 metres. Its 30kW hoist can lift 1.9 tonnes at a speed of 80 metres a minute. It has also been designed with European technology following the acquisition of Jost tower crane designs from the Bavarian based company in July 2011. See Zoomlion acquires Jost designs, for more information.

The company said: “The ZT180-8 is part of the new range of Zoomlion tower cranes aimed at the European market. It will meet all requirements of EN 14439 as certified by TÜV SÜD. The range includes twelve topless cranes ranging from a six tonne, 90 metre tower crane to a 32 tonne, 600 metre tower crane. Thanks to new technology the assembly, installation, transportation and maintenance have been simplified and accelerated, which results in reduced operating costs.”
