Fatal crane incident in Kansas

A 51 year-old man was crushed under a 50 ton crane near Burlington in southeast Kansas yesterday.

Unusually we have not received any photographs and only a few details that we can rely on. All we know is that the man, Eric Spaar, an employee of Mid-West Construction was trapped under the crane.

Local news reports suggest that the crane overturned, we do know though that such information can be highly inaccurate, even to the point of calling an excavator a crane. If anyone has more details we would appreciate hearing from you.
