The unusual joint appointment also includes RAM truck mounted lifts which are now produced by Bluelift and follows Le Roy’s departure from Belgian distributor and rental company Heli late last year. Heli distributes the Maeda and Bluelift products in Belgium and has a subsidiary in France.

Le Roy will effectively be working as an independent employee for the two companies, his responsibilities as sales manager will including selling to key account customers, and organising a sales and aftersales network throughout the country. The two companies already have a number of regional dealers including Heli-France in Saint-Ouen l'Amône and Tom Levage in Noissy Le Sec among others.

Vertikal Comment

This is a very good, pragmatic solution for both companies, the key to it working is the compatibility of the product lines, in terms of market and quality levels, but most of all trust between the two principles.

The owners/managers of both companies have similar ethics and standards and both offer high quality products with similar outlook on product support.

The personal chemistry between all three parties is probably as good as it gets, which is also critical to it working. The biggest challenge will be to sell the spider lift/spider crane concept to French users and rental companies, while re-establishing the RAM brand after an absence of almost 10 years.

Expect to see increased sales of all three products in the second half, if not before.
