Terex CC6800 for China

Terex Cranes has delivered a 1,250 tonne CC6800 crawler crane to Shandong Gulf Large Size Hoisting Equipment Company in China.

The hand-over was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Gulf Hoisting and Terex Cranes management representatives, along with local industry and government officials.

As soon as the ceremony was over the CC6800 was shipped out to work on a contract with CNOOC Ocean Engineering Co.

Shandong Gulf Large-Sized Equipment Hoisting Company was established in 2008, and now operates over 100 cranes, ranging from 50 to 2,000 tonnes from locations in Xinjiang, Xian, Shenyang, Wuhan and Guangxi. The company employs 300 and specialises in heavy lifting across infrastructure, petrochemical, nuclear power, wind power, shipbuilding and offshore sectors.

The big crane hand-over ceremony


Chairman Yu Limin said: “Our Terex CC6800 will be used in a wide range of sectors such as offshore and petrochemical engineering. This new acquisition fully reflects our company’s strength and the importance we attach to investing in today’s latest technology. Gulf Hoisting will continue to invest in advanced lifting equipment, as we aim for leadership in the Chinese lifting sector and increase our market share worldwide.”
