The new company is based in Ascot, Berkshire and is owned and managed by Joe Ennis, a mechanical engineer, who has worked in the powered access industry for the past 20 years, most recently as owner and director of Access All Areas which provides IPAF training services.

Hy-brid Access Platforms takes over from R2 Access, which was Custom’s dealer in the UK until last year.

The Hybrid range now consists of four key CE certified products the: HB-P830CE, HB-830CE, HB-1030CE with eight and 10ft platform heights respectively and the 14ft HB1430CE.

“I have personally chosen to endorse this set of products as all of the models, including the HB-P830 (8ft push around) are built to the EN280:2001+A2 European standard and are exceptionally reliable and energy efficient,” said Ennis.

“The majority of Hy-Brid Lift components are recyclable and their durability means they not only require fewer replacement parts, but also boast a longer useable lifespan. The three self-propelled machines in the Hy-brid range only require two 12 volt batteries as opposed to four six volt batteries, reducing battery cost and maintenance.”

“They are also good for a 16 hour shift on a single charge and their distinctive double wheel steering system allows the machines to turn on the spot without rucking or damaging carpeting or other sensitive floor materials.”

Hy-brid Access Platforms has already supplied its first units to Speedy, Advanced Access and 2 Cousins.
