I am all right jack

Spotted on a site in Holland or at least -sent to use from the Netherlands - a scissor lift with its levelling jacks set with oblivious abandon.

The unit does not need the jacks to be down for stability, they are used on this unit for levelling on slopes. But the jack and one of the wheels is set up on a double manhole cover!!

What was going through this operators mind?

The operator was certainly looking out for underground voids! In reality this looks like a substantial manhole cover and the machine itself is not the heaviest But what goes through people’s minds to set up in such a way?

A definitely Death Wish.
