Tadano America receives 400 tonner

Tadano has delivered the first 400 tonne Tadano Faun ATF 400G-6 All Terrain crane in the USA to its American affiliate - Tadano America.

The six-axle crane features a five section 60 metre main boom with a maximum under hook height of 122 metres when equipped with its full luffing jib. It is capable of lifting 360 tonnes at a three metre radius and 400 tonnes at 2.7 metres.

Maximum counterweight is 138 tonnes, but the crane still has a reasonable capabilities without any counterweight.

The crane carrier is powered by an environmentally friendly Mercedes BlueTec engine, with the company claiming to be first crane manufacturer to make this technology standard. It also uses a ZF transmission and features a 12x8x12 drive steer configuration.
