Ahern hearing this week

The court hearing to review the extension of the exclusivity period for Ahern Rentals of Las Vegas, has been adjourned until October 18th.

Ahern, went into chapter 11 bankruptcy in December last year and has already had two extensions to the normal 120 days of exclusivity for the existing owners to file a plan of reorganisation. Ahern will now request a further month extension in order to complete its plan for debt restructuring.

Some creditors have objected to the extensions, preferring to open the process up to other potential ‘bidders’. There is also a chance that the judge will make a ruling on two civil cases that have been taken out against Ahern Rentals.
