Frank Bardonaro, currently managing director global sales at Terex Cranes, has confirmed that is joining, or rather returning to, Maxim Crane Works in the USA as president of sales and business development.

Maxim was acquired by Platinum Private Equity back in 2008 having gone through a Chapter 11 process in 2004 and 2005. The company runs a fleet of more than 1,300 cranes from 35 locations.

Platinum is currently said to be in an acquisitive mood and has been rumoured to be after Ahern Rentals in Las Vegas, which is currently going through the Chapter 11 restructuring process. Last year it acquired North American based utility aerial lift specialist Nesco, which had earlier acquired the Terex Utilities aerial lift fleet.
