New GM for CraneSafe

Australian crane certification organisation CraneSafe has promoted Brandon Hitch to general manager.

Hitch joined CraneSafe a year ago as an engineer, he was previously senior mechanical engineer at Cargotec, but has spent the majority of his career at Ford motor company in a variety of engineering posts. He takes up his new role next week on October 1st.

Alan Marshall, chief executive of the Crane Industry Council of Australia (CICA), which owns CraneSafe said: “Since joining CraneSafe Brandon has been developing and delivering the CraneSafe assessor audit programme along with many other tasks under wise mentoring and support from Jeff Brundell, the current CraneSafe National Director. This promotion reflects Brandon’s great progress and significant respect within CICA and the industry.”
