Man falls after bucket catches fire

A man fell around nine metres from a utility truck near White Rock, British Columbia, Canada on Tuesday after the lift’s bucket caught fire as he worked on an overhead power line pole.

There is scarce detail of what happened but it appears that the man, in his 30s, came too close to the power lines which then arced to the basket, igniting it. It is not clear whether he fell or jumped from the basket and his condition is unknown.
WorkSafe BC is investigating the incident.
