ALE and ECR form JV

International Heavy lift and transportation company ALE has teamed up with Australian based heavy lift company ECR in a joint venture to be known as ALE ECR Heavylift Pty.

The new venture will offer complete heavy lift and transportation solutions throughout Australia. Under the agreement ALE ECR Heavylift will combine resources, becoming a single point of contact for the customers of both companies in the region.

The two claim that this will “provide the benefits of a local company teamed with the global expertise and resources of an international business.” ECR heavylift and transport is based in Gladstone, Queensland and was established in 1995. The company also has locations in Biloela and Moura, Central Queensland and runs a fleet of cranes from seven tonnes to 500 tonnes, as well as hydraulic modular trailers and specialised jacking and lifting equipment working primarily within the heavy industrial and mining industries.

UK based ALE was founded in 1983 and now has more than 20 offices worldwide, from Europe to the Far East, its crane fleet includes its own units, the AL.SK heavy lift machines.

Paul Kelly, a director at ALE ECR said: “We are pleased to announce the joint venture and are looking forward to working as ALE ECR within the region. Combining our capabilities and resources will enable us to offer a fuller solution to our clients. With the local history of ECR and the global backing of ALE, the companies complement each other and working together simply makes sense.”

Kane Davison another director of ALE ECR added: “The senior management team at ECR are pleased to confirm details of the joint venture with ALE. We have always strived to offer the best service possible and have considerably expanded the business and capabilities to meet client needs over the years, this new venture will enable us to expand those capabilities that we offer yet again. ALE ECR will offer the complete heavylift and transportation solution, capable of lifting anything from seven to 60,000 tonnes.”
