Mega order for Terex

Indian based crane company Sanghvi Movers has placed an order worth more than €70 million order with Terex Cranes for 12 large crawler cranes. The order is for four 1,600 tonne CC8800 crawler cranes and eight 600 tonne CC2800 models.

The official order was signed this morning at a major Terex open day at its plant in Zweibrücken Germany by chief executive Chandrakant P. Sanghvi.

The company, which is the largest crane rental company in India, has said that it sees strong demand for larger cranes such as this, especially from power and other infrastructure projects.

Terex also said this morning that it has agreed a deal for the sale of its fifth CC8800 Twin, the 3,200 crawler crane.
