UK based crane rental company Specialist Crane Hire has taken delivery of a new 110 tonne Grove GMK5110-1. The new crane was delivered to the company’s Wigan depot earlier this week.

The GMK5110 features a 50.6 metre main boom plus bi-fold swingaway extension to provide the maximum on board tip height of 88 metres.

In the UK the GMK5110 can technically carry up to 31 tonnes of its 40.1 tonnes of counterweight on board. Or 11 tonnes to comply with 12 tonne axle loads. The crane is also relatively compact at under 15 metres overall length, with a chassis length of 12.3 metres.
