UpRight is no more – its official

Just in case you did not know it, today is the official day that the UpRight name formally exits the powered access industry today.
The decision to adopt the Snorkel brand worldwide was taken by UpRight’s owner, Tanfield earlier this year, and since then all of the exhibitions that the company has attended featured Snorkel machines.
However there were a number of technicalities to deal with and all have now been completed, so the last UpRight branded lift has now left the factory and as of today the phone at the company's European operations will no longer be answered as “UpRight” but as "Snorkel" - The USA has been Snorkel for some time.
The formal ending of the brand brings to an end almost 40 years of UpRight scissor lift production almost the oldest name on the market.
Instead the new updated Snorkel brand formally takes over with the company’s new web site also going live today.
Product support and everything associated with it continues of course for all UpRight machines. Of which several hundred thousand have been built in the years since the first Flying Carpet was launched.
