We have just learnt of the death at the end of June of Dallas Johnson previously general manager of Florida based Ring Power Crane.
We have just learnt of the death at the end of June of Dallas Johnson previously general manager of Florida based Ring Power Crane. He had been struggling with pancreatic cancer for some time.
Johnson was born in St. Augustine, Florida, which was also the birth place of Ring Power – a CAT dealer he was eventually to join. However after studying advertising, Johnson went straight into the crane and equipment business, including 19 years as president of Coastal Crane Consultants.
In 1994 he joined Ring Power’s crane division- which traded then as Southeastern Crane -as vice president of crane sales. The division grew rapidly under Johnson, becoming Ring Power Crane in 2004. When he retired in 2000 he was a director of the group and general manager of the crane business which sells Grove, Manitowoc, Broderson, National Crane and Manitex.
Johnson’s funeral was held on July 9th in Jacksonville Florida, he is survived by his wife, Susan and daughter Kym.
