Bamford has been in the news a good deal lately over this issue and several others, including an offer he made to donate a parcel of land from JCB’s former Heavy Products factory, in Uttoxeter for a museum to house the ‘Anglo-Saxon hoard’ which was discovered in a field in Staffordshire last year.

There have also been reports over a dispute with is younger brother Mark Bamford over shares left by their monther, following her death in 2003.
