November 4, 2016 - With just a few days left now before the big election we thought it might be interesting to poll our readers, both in the USA and overseas on who they might or will vote for.
We had planned to offer a No vote or Independent but thought this would allow too many to cop out of a decision so have left it black and white. The atmosphere surrounding the vote is now very similar to that seen in the referendum or if you insist the Brexit vote in the UK with millions wanting to simply give the establishment a black eye or overturn the status quo, not matter the consequences. In this case it is even harder as both choices are unpalatable to most.
Still we resume the normal editorial on Wednesday when the result will be known. If you are a registered voter in the US then do vote – you may regret it otherwise.
We appear to be sliding into an era where truth and facts are seen as disruptive irritations, not only by outspoken ‘populist’ politicians, but increasingly of large companies and industry associations.
