The company has invested heavily in new equipment in recent years (adding two brand new Tadano Faun ATF 40t cranes, a brand new Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 60t crane and we will receive the very latest Liebherr LTM 1070 and LTM 1040 in September. We now have a fleet of 10 cranes. All the cranes are operated by experienced CPCS trained operators. The role and opportunity:
We are looking for an articulate, dedicated and enthusiastic Depot Manager to join our team and run the depot based in Hull. As the Depot Manager, you will take full responsibility for our Hull depot and play a vital role in the leadership and direction of the Depot Team. You'll need to be a great communicator, comfortable managing your time within a fast past environment and able to deal with, and manage, conflict. You?ll be customer focused whilst commercially astute to deliver the depots sales and profit targets. This is a pivotal role, taking responsibility for and connecting, people, quality of service, as well as operational excellence. Your aim will be to make a positive impact on the customer experience and take the lead in business improvements. Key responsibilities:
A zero compromise approach to health and safety
Weekly onsite Crane Audits
Reviewing documentation to ensure compliance
Ensure outstanding customer service is delivered all day, every day
Lead, recruit and develop team members
Exceed sales targets by growing existing and recruiting new business
Deliver depot profit targets
Additional Responsibilities:
Ensuring the Depot Team are engaged, motivated, committed, fully trained and aware of health and safety policies
Completing day-to-day admin including day sheets and weekly payroll
Resolving operational issues with customers and staff
Making sure that vehicle maintenance and certification is carried out effectively
Provide monthly summary reports
Key candidate requirements:
3+ years? management experience in a crane hire, operated plant hire.
Experience of working with CPA Model Conditions of Hire.
Experience of using Hire Software
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple complex work flows.
Open and Trustworthy.
Collaborative "can do" attitude - able to lead and work within teams.
High energy and enthusiasm to exceed customer expectations.
Takes Personal Accountability.
A full, UK valid driving licence.

CPCS Appointed Person
